GIBB has been present in Mauritius since 1958. Initially, Sir Alexander Gibb & Partners (Africa), based in Nairobi, were invited to Mauritius and provided consultancy services in the fields of Wastewater, Roads, Airport and Wave Energy.  GIBB’s involvement was continuous in Mauritius as such until 1972, when Sir Alexander Gibb & Partners (Mauritius) was set up as a local partnership under the laws of Mauritius.  GIBB (Mauritius) Ltd was incorporated as a private Mauritian company under the laws of the Republic of Mauritius in February 1991.

Since April 2002, the shareholding is 100% by Mauritian Nationals. We have extensive construction management experience and expertise giving our Clients confidence in our ability to manage contracts within the earmarked budget and time schedule as well as minimizing risks. The services offered by GIBB include: Project Management, Feasibility and Pre-Investment Studies, Land Surveying and Engineering Surveys, Site Investigations, Engineering Design, Technical Assistance & Training, Procurement, Tender Documentation & Evaluation, Contract Administration & Measurement and Supervision of Construction Works. During the past 30 years,

GIBB has provided local experience and training for many Mauritian engineers and provided others with the opportunity of specialist training overseas in our other offices. With a total staff of over eighty, GIBB is the largest consultancy firm in Mauritius

Much of the services are provided with local expertise. Our key personnel comprise engineers, land surveyors and technicians with multi-disciplinary experience in engineering works.  This is augmented technically and / or physically as required from the vast resources of the GIBB Group. For the past sixty years, the local office has undertaken numerous building and civil engineering development works within the Indian Ocean.
