Surface Water Drainage
In 2001, GIBB was commissioned by the Government of Mauritius to carry our the Land Drainage Study, which covered inter alia, hydrological and hydraulic studies, watershed management, flood prone areas and mitigating measures. GIBB recommended the setting up of a Land Drainage.
Authority and established design criteria for surface water drainage works, which are still being used in Mauritius.
GIBB has designed and supervised many drainage works all over Mauritius principally for the National Development Unit.
